What Will You Learn?
For the Music Literacy component, you will analyse the differences between two pieces of the same music, as well as a musical performance discussing the musical elements. You will also compose a melody, using standard musical notation.
For the explorations and connections part of the course, you may specialise in either composition or performance.
Who Is This Course For?
This course is for students who want to:
- Develop musical knowledge and understanding.
- Create music, including compositions and performance work.
What Do You Need?
- Stage 1 Music Experience or music advanced.
- A drive to either compose or perform music.
- Performers are encouraged to have regular instrumental lessons.
- Musescore - free music notation application
