What Will You Learn?
In this course, you will be expected to analyse different musical styles, create sophisticated compositions and develop aural and theoretical knowledge in preparation for a final exam.
Students can choose to specialise in either performance or composition for the school folio.
Who Is This Course For?
This course is for students who want to:
- Appreciate different musical styles including music theatre, classical and jazz.
- Develop deeper musical knowledge and understanding.
- Develop more understanding of stylistic harmony.
- Create music, including compositions and performance work.
What Do You Need?
- Must have minimum of 5 years instrumental experience.
- Have completed Stage 1 Music Advanced.
- Fluent in reading music.
- Interest in all styles of music
- Musescore - free music notation application.
