Prerequisites
Stage 2 students who have successfully completed two semesters of Stage 1 Essential Mathematics with C grade or better.
Recommendations:
Stage 2 students who have successfully completed two semesters of Stage 1 Essential Mathematics with B grade or better.
What Will You Learn?
In this course, you will learn the following five topics:
· Topic 1: Business applications
· Topic 2: Scales, plans, and models
· Topic 3: Measurement
· Topic 4: Investments and loans
· Topic 5: Statistics
Who Is This Course For?
This course is for students who want to:
· Attain an ATAR.
· Extend their mathematical skills in ways that apply to practical problem-solving in everyday and workplace contexts
· Apply their mathematics to diverse settings, including everyday calculations, financial management, business applications, measurement and geometry, and statistics in social contexts.
What Do You Need?
· A SACE approved Graphic calculator (TI-84 Plus/TI-84 Plus C-sliver edition/TI-84 Plus CE/TI-84 Plus CE Python or Casio fx-CG50AU/fx-CG20AU/fx-9860G AU Plus)
· Mathematics for Australia 12 Essential Mathematics Textbook (provided by NTSDE)
· Attend the External Exam in Term 4.

Year 12 students on an NTCET or ATAR pathway
