What Will You Learn?

The innovative ways drones are being used across different industries, important safety rules and piloting tips for flying a drone, how to effectively capture drone photographs and videos, and how to process these images into 3D photogrammetric models.

Who Is This Course For?

This course is for students who want to:

  • Build their knowledge and understanding of drone technology.
  • Learn practical skills in flying a drone
  • Undertake projects and apply knowledge and skills to solve problems. 
  • Want to complete Stage 2 credits, but do not need this course to count towards an ATAR. 

What Do You Need?

  • Basic computer skills and a laptop
  • Smartphone 
  • Drones will be used during contact visits, and a small hobby drone may be dispatched for flying practice. If you have your own drone already, it will give you more opportunities to practice your skills.
