What Will You Learn?
In this course you will learn about the role of law in our community, the key structures and processes within Australia’s system of government and how criminal trials are conducted. Concepts such as rights, fairness, justice, power and change are explored. You will develop your analytical and research skills by investigating current legal issues and cases.
Who Is This Course For?
This an academically challenging course for students who are interested in:
- studying how our legal system works
- researching and evaluating current legal issues and cases
- social justice
This course involves extensive reading and complex written tasks. It provides useful knowledge and skills for Stage 2 Legal Studies and other humanities subjects.
What Do You Need?
It is recommended that students have sound results in year 10 English.
