Welcome to Stage 2 Community Connections - English!
In this course you will undertake a simple Community Activity of your choice which you will use as the basis of your activities & assessment.
For some of you, this could be your second or even third Community Activity you will do this year, as you may be doing Community Studies and even Community Connections with a Maths focus.
While this may feel a lot in terms of Community Activities, it however means a lot less assessment than undertaking Essential English Stage 2 OR Maths State 2 which both require 7 internal assessment activities (worth 70%) and a final exam worth 30% of the overall course.
Community Connections is what you make of it. You can pick a hobby, sport or community activity that has 5 tasks, for of which are very simple and internally assessed only plus a an external assessment that is an assignment that we will help you with . Your assessment for this course requires the following.
1. 4x Simple Tasks that make up your Folio (50% & Internally Assessed) - Term 1
2. Your Community Activity and Report on it (30% & Externally Assessed) - Term 2
3. A Reflection on your Community Activity (20% & Internally Assessed)
