This course is for students who want to:

  • extend their mathematical skills in ways that apply to practical problem-solving in everyday and workplace contexts
  • Have successfully completed 1MEM10A, 1MEM10B, 1MEM10C or 1MEM20A at a C grade or higher
  • Intend to do Stage 2 Essential Mathematics in the future

What Do You Need?

  • Graphic calculator (non-negotiable, the course uses the Casio fx CG-50, although any brand is acceptable but the student is expected to learn how to use their calculator)
  • Access to a printer and scanner
  • Ruler
  • Protractor
  • Compass
  • Notebook
