What will you learn?

In the Year 10 Science A and B courses, you will learn about living things; heredity, genetic diversity and natural selection, chemical reactions, and the Periodic Table, physics of applying Newton’s Laws to motion, Big Bang Theory and global climate change. You will conduct experiments and understand how science interacts with society.

Who is this course for?

This course is for students who want to:

  • Apply their science knowledge to solve real-world problems.
  • Pursue careers in fields like medicine, nursing, veterinary science, agriculture, sustainability, and conservation.
  • What do you need? 
    • Curiosity about how the world works
    • Good literacy, numeracy and digital literacy skills

What resources do you need?

  • NTSDE will provide students with a code to access an ebook textbook.   If students would like a physical hardcopy of their textbook this may be purchased by their homeschool or themselves.

  • NTSDE will send out non-returnable Practical Investigation Kit’s at the end of Term 1 Week 3 and Term 3, Week 3.
