What Will You Learn?
In this course you will learn how geographers investigate places, environments, natural hazards, fieldwork sites and global issues. You will build skills in mapping, using evidence, collecting and analysing data, evaluating responses, and communicating geographical conclusions clearly.
Who Is This Course For?
This course is for students who want to:
- understand how people, places and environments are connected
- investigate natural hazards, bushfire risk and global issues
- use maps, data, fieldwork and spatial technologies
- develop practical research, analysis and report-writing skills
What Do You Need?
- access to Moodle and course materials each week
- a device for viewing videos, completing activities and submitting work
- basic stationery and a willingness to collect and use evidence
- for fieldwork: safe access to a suitable local outdoor site, as directed by your teacher
Target Audience: Stage 1 students interested in Geography, environmental issues, hazards, fieldwork and real-world problem solving.
Length: One semester.
